Physical teaching of Class IX and XI suspended due to Covid-19


Bhubaneswar: With the surge of Covid-9 cases, the Odisha government on Wednesday decided to suspend physical teaching of Class IX and XI students at all schools including private ones in the state.

School and Mass Education Department’s order will remain in force till April 30, 2021.

School and Mass Education secretary Satyabrata Sahu has written a letter to the Directors and District Education Officers in this regard.

Sahu said the schools can take up online classes of Standard IX and XI students.

The students of these two classes residing in hostels and residential schools are allowed to go back home immediately.

The letter said classes of Standard X and XII will continue as usal till April 25, 2021.
