Odisha receives 9.43 lakh doses of Covishield

Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Friday received 9.43 lakh doses of Covishield.

The consignment of Covid vaccine reached at Biju Patnaik International Airport here on Friday.

A tranch of at least 1 lakh Covishield and 1.82 lakh Covaxin vaccine doses were also dispatched to the State yesterday.

The government expects that the arrival of the fresh tranch of vaccines will help streamline the inoculation programme in the state.

Earlier, Health Minister Naba Kishore Das on Monday had flagged vaccine shortage in the state and requested the Centre for urgent supply of additional 6 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine to the state.
