Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday arrested an acting Principal of Adarsha Vidyalaya in Nuapada district while accepting a bribe of Rs 4,000.
Sujan Kumar Sahu, the principal of Badigaon Adarsha Vidyalaya in Khariar block was arrested on charges of taking a bribe of Rs 4000 from a teacher for the increment of arrear.
The Principal had sought a bribe for updating his service book and sanctioning annual increment.
On Wednesday, Sahoo was caught red-handed while accepting the bribe.
The Vigilance department in Koraput has registered a case against Sahu and searches are being carried out at his house in Angul and office at Badi in Nuapada.
