Odisha DGP Abhay allowed to retire on Dec 31

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has allowed Director General of Police (DGP) Abhay to retire on completion of his tenure.

According to a notification issued by Home Department, DGP Abhay will retire on December 31 2021.

Abhay, a 1986-batch IPS was appointed as DGP in November 2019.

Prior to his appointment as DGP, Abhay was the Director of Hyderabad-based Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, a premier training institute of the country for the Indian Police Service officers.
