The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has postponed the interview for the post of Assistant Professor, Journalism and Mass Communication due to cyclone Jawad.
The interviews scheduled to be held on December 6, 7 and 8 have been postponed.
“It is for information of all concerned that, the Interview scheduled on 06th, 7th & 8th December 2021 for the post of Assistant Professor, Journalism & Mass Communication is postponed in view of the Cyclone, Jawad which is likely to make landfall in Odisha coast as per IMO prediction. The date of the Interview will be rescheduled in due course,” informed the OPSC.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that the Cyclone is expected to reach the North Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coast by 4th December morning. Thereafter, it will recurve and move towards the West Bengal coast.
The cyclone would bring with it heavy to very heavy rainfall. Wind speeds ranging up to 90-100 kmph accompanied by tidal waves, are expected.
