Odisha Government on Monday issued fresh Covid guidelines for the month of March and eased restrictions imposed across the state.
As per the new guidelines, issued by the Special Relief Commissioner, a ceiling of 500 persons(for the entire event) including hosts, guests, priests and catering and other support staff with adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols have been allowed to attend Marriages, thread Ceremony/ Bratopaliayan, and related functions.
Funerals, last rites and related gatherings with approval from local authorities shall be allowed with a ceiling of 250 persons, stated the SRC.
The new guidelines will remain in effect from March 1 to march 31 5 am. During this period there will be no night curfew across the state and al activates have been allowed to fully function with strict adherence to Covid norms.
Exhibitions/ Trade Fairs/ Expo/ Melas are allowed with full compliance to COVID protocols
Political gatherings/ meetings, rallies/ Door to Door campaign for any election to be announced by the appropriate Election Commission shall be allowed as per the instructions/ guidelines issue by appropriate Election Commission from time to time with full compliance to COVID protocols.
During celebration of “Dola Pumima”, people shall ensure Covid Appropriate Behariour such as physical distancing, use of face mask/ covering and hand washing/ hand sanitizer. Religious rituais are allowed with strict adherence of COVID-19 protocols.
