CUO organizes seminar on Entrepreneurship Ideas after MBA


The programme was inaugurated by Prof Sharat Kumar Palita, Vice-Chancellor I/c.,  in the presence of Controller of Examinations, Dr Ram Shankar, faculty members and students of the Department.

The Department of Business Management, Central University of Odisha, organized a seminar talk on ‘Entrepreneurship Ideas after MBA’.The programme was inaugurated by Prof Sharat Kumar Palita, Vice-Chancellor I/c.,  in the presence of Controller of Examinations, Dr Ram Shankar, faculty members and students of the Department.

Debashis Deb, Director General (Consultancy), KIIT University, Bhubaneswar and Formerly Executive Director, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (Engine Division), Sunabeda, Koraput delivered the talk.

Deb, in his hour-long talk, explained at length the qualities of being an entrepreneur and narrated his own experience with it. He highlighted employment/business opportunities for entrepreneurs. According to him, failures are an important ingredient in the recipe of success, provided we analyze our failures and find out the reasons behind them. 

Earlier, in his inaugural address, Prof Palita congratulated the Department for organizing the programme and spoke about the importance of entrepreneurship for the Indian economy, especially in the changed circumstances when employment opportunities are few and far between.

Dr Shankar wished the programme all the best and appreciated the timeliness of the theme of the topic for the seminar. Prasant Kumar Behera, HoD, Business Management delivered the welcome address and highlighted the salient features of the Department and student achievements.
