Bhubaneswar Traffic advisory: Know no parking zones

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has issued advisory and asked the commuters to park their vehicles in designated parking spaces or away from the main carriageway (road).

The cops also asked people not to park their vehicles on predominantly congested stretches of road.

Violation of the order is an offence and punishable under Section 177 of the MV Act-2019 and compoundable with fine of Rs 500.

Violation of the above order will also attract section 127 of the MV Act-2019 which authorizes a police officer having jurisdiction to tow a vehicle causing impediment to the flow of traffic and when such a vehicle is towed, the owner of the vehicle will be responsible for all towing costs, besides any other penalty, said the police in a public notice.

The law will strictly be implemented in:

1. IDBI Bank square to Veterinary College, NH-16 via Empire Hotel.

2. Alok Bharati Building to Saheed Nagar Durga Puja Mandap at Janpath.

3. Janpath (Kalyan Jewelers) to Charka Medical Store via Sparsh Hospital.

4. Trupti Service Station of Janpath to Saheed Nagar Entry Point.
