A District-Level meeting was conducted at the Amruta Vihar Campus of the Gangadhar Meher University Sambalpur on Saturday under Mo College Abhijan.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Higher Education Rohit Pujari and Chairperson of Mo College Abhijan Akash Dasnayak along with Dr. Narayani Panda, the inspiring alumnus of the Gangadhar Meher University.
The other guest at the podium was Regional Director of Education Sambalpur Prof. Pravabati Guru.
The meeting was presided by Vice Chancellor Prof. N.Nagaraju. He felicitated all the invited guests. The meeting kick started with the welcome address by the Registrar Jugaleswari Dash which was followed by a brief address on the status of Mo College in Sambalpur district by the Regional Director Prof. Pravabati Guru.
A short animation on the Mo College Abhijan was shown to the Alumnis present at the meet.
Pujari emphasised on the role of alumni for the development of Universities and Colleges. He retold the role played by the Department of Higher Education for quality enhancement in higher learning and also appreciated the efforts of the Mo College Abhijan and the successful implementation of the same by the GM University. +
Addressing the event Mo College Chairperson Akash Dasnayak said, “Gangadhar Meher University has achieved unparalled success with the implementation Mo College Abhijan and it has also created a beautiful state of the art IT Skill Centre in the name of Dr. Narayani Panda. Dr.Panda is an exceptional human being and idol to all who wants to excel in life and I appreciate her generosity in the form of her contribution to the G.M University. In fact, she has inspired lakhs of Alumni and Students in the state of Odisha. Mo College Abhijan will be successful with the hard work and dedication of all participating Principals, Coordinators and Alumnis.” Later Dasnayak also showcased a detailed presentation on the vision and mission of Mo College Abhijan encapsuled with its success stories to everyone present at the meeting.
Noted Alumnus Dr. Narayani Panda spoke on the Joy of Giving Back and how she is feeling after contributing to the G.M. University and other institutions. She encouraged everyone to contribute to society and to the nation building.
Vice Chancellor Prof. N Nagaraju thanked the Mo College Abhiyan for helping the G.M. University and also for conducting the meeting in the campus. He requested the guests and alumni members to continue supporting the institution for a brighter tomorrow.
Principals and Mo College Coordinators of about 17 Colleges and 3 Universities (Sambalpur University, VSSUT, and Odisha State Open University attended the meeting and participated in the deliberation. Senior alumni of G.M. University along with all heads of departments as well as students attended the proceeding. Dr.Uma Charan Pati, Deputy Registrar of Gangadhar Meher University anchored the entire program and proposed a vote of thanks at the end of the meeting.
