Maa Tarini Temple in Ghatgaon to undergo redevelopment

Keonjhar: Secretary to the Chief Minister (5T), VK Pandian, on Sunday said that the Maa Tarini Temple in Ghatgaon will be redeveloped in a manner similar to the ongoing development projects for the Parikrama Prakalpa in Puri, the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar, and the improvement of the Maa Samaleswari Temple in Sambalpur.

Pandian shared this information after offering prayers at the temple today.

As per the instructions of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Pandian visited Keonjhar district where he explored various spiritual sites and engaged in discussions concerning their improvement. He also took note of the grievances expressed by the local people.

The 5T Secretary held meetings with members of Mission Shakti self-help groups, farmers, intellectuals, and representatives from various organizations.

Beginning his visit on Sunday, Pandian first went to Siddha Math located in Keonjhar municipality, where he interacted with the temple committee members, devotees, and locals to discuss the development of Siddha Math and its surrounding areas.

Next, he visited the Dharnidhar Sports Complex in Shankarpur and inspected the newly constructed facilities, including the football ground, athletic ground, indoor badminton court, archery ground, and indoor gym. Pandian engaged with the present players and expressed his satisfaction with the quality training being provided. He also advised the District Collector to expedite the plantation work on the campus.

The redevelopment plans for the Maa Tarini Temple signify the state government’s commitment to preserving and enhancing the cultural heritage of Odisha, mirroring the efforts made for other prominent temples and religious sites across the state.
