Bhubaneswar: With electioneering intensifying for the upcoming twin polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Bhubaneswar on Sunday for a two-day visit to Odisha to boost the prospects of BJP candidates in the state.
According to the tentative schedule, Modi will travel from Kalaikunda in West Bengal by an IAF aircraft, arriving at Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar at 6:30 PM. Upon arrival, he will proceed directly to Raj Bhavan in the capital city, where he is expected to meet with state BJP leaders and stay overnight.
On Monday, the Prime Minister is set to leave Bhubaneswar around 7:25 AM for Puri. There, he will hold a roadshow in the pilgrim town from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, for which elaborate security arrangements have been made.
Following the roadshow, Modi will take a helicopter to Angul, where he will address a public meeting at Stadium Field Ground from 10:15 AM to 10:55 AM. He will seek support for BJP candidates contesting the Dhenkanal Lok Sabha seat and its Assembly segments.
Later, the Prime Minister will head to Cuttack to speak at an election rally at Kila Padia from 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM, aiming to garner further support for BJP candidates.
The first phase of polling in Odisha took place on May 13, with three more rounds scheduled for May 20, May 25, and June 1.
