New Delhi: The Union Cabinet today approved 12 industrial smart cities under National Industrial Corridor Development Programme (NICDP) with an estimated investment of Rs 28,602 crore.
NICDP is going to benefit the future developments in India, said Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw while briefing on the cabinet decision.
The projects are to span across 10 states and to be strategically planned along 6 major corridors.
Once the proejcts are developed, the investment potential would around Rs 1.5 lakh crore and these projects would generate about 10 lakh employments.
