India-England ODI Cricket Match at Barabati: Ticket sale to begin on Feb 2


Bhubaneswar: The much-awaited India-England One Day International (ODI) cricket match will take place at the iconic Barabati Stadium, Cuttack on 9th February, 2025.

A preparatory meeting chaired by Odisha’s Sports Minister, Surjya Banshi Suraj, was held today at the Odisha Cricket Association conference hall to review the arrangements for the upcoming match.

Officials from various departments, including the Cuttack district administration, police and the Odisha Cricket Association, participated in the meeting to ensure seamless execution of the event.

The Online ticket sales for the match will commence on 2nd February with 4,000 tickets available for purchase. Offline ticket sales will be conducted on 5th & 6th February at the six designated counters.

To enhance the match-day experience for fans, the authorities will set up fan parks, LED screens outside the stadium and at various locations in Cuttack, enabling a larger audience to enjoy the match.

During the match, special attention will be given to the safety and security of players, spectators and other stakeholders.An integrated control room will monitor the event to ensure smooth management.

This year, a dedicated “Legendary Box” seating area has been arranged for distinguished guests and achievers from various fields.

For this year’s ODI match, the ticket prices start at Rs 700, aiming to make the event accessible to the general public.

Addressing the media, Shri Suraj said, The India-England ODI at Barabati Stadium is a significant event for cricket enthusiasts. We are committed to provide a seamless experience for players and spectators, ensuring adequate facilities and security.

The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Cuttack-Barabati MLA Sofia Firdaus, Cuttack Sadar MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi, Cuttack-Choudwar MLA Souvic Biswal, Banki MLA Devi Ranajn Tripathy, Cuttack Mayor Subhash Chandra Singh, Odisha Cricket Association secretary Sanjay Behera, Cuttack Collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, Hockey Promotional Council, Odisha CEO Deepankar Mohapatra and other officials from the Odisha Cricket Association.

With the match promising an electrifying experience, cricket enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the action-packed match between India and England at Barabati Stadium.
