Fulfilling the very mandates of equalizing the regional imbalance in tertiary health care delivery, the people of Odisha have witnessed the golden journey of a decade of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, said President Droupadi Murmu on occasion of 5th Annual Convocation of the national institute.
Gracing the 5th Convocation ceremony of AIIMS Bhubaneswar today, President Murmu lauded the institute’s remarkable contributions to healthcare delivery, patient care, and medical education. AIIMS Bhubaneswar continues to strengthen India’s healthcare ecosystem through excellence in service, research and training.
The World Health Organization(WHO) has recognized the excellence of AIIMS Bhubaneswar with the Asia Safe Surgical Implant Consortium QWIP Award for maintaining high standards in surgical instrument and implant reprocessing.
On this occasion, President appreciated the institutes dedication to public health and education.
She highlighted that a significant number of outpatients have been treated at AIIMS Bhubaneswar over the past year, a clear testament to its growing impact in delivering accessible and high quality healthcare services to the people of India.

President awarded 59 Gold Medals to meritorious students of AIIMS Bhubaneswar from different disciplines like DM/MCh (1 scholar), MD/MS (1), MBBS (17), BSc Nursing (3), BSc Paramedical (7), MSc Nursing (2). While Chitluri Neha and Medha Menon have been awarded as best outgoing MBBS Graduates, Mrinmoyee Mondal and Priyanka Singh have been adjudged as best BSc (Hons) Nursing Graduate.
