Bhubaneswar: Anurag Kirti, singer of the highly acclaimed devotional track ‘Bholenath’ and an alumni of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA), called on SOA Founder President Prof. (Dr.) Manojranjan Nayak in his office here on Saturday.
Kirti’s beautifully rendered song, penned by lyricist and composer Kaushal Kishore, which was released under Zee Music, has been garnering widespread appreciation of music lovers.
Kirti, who studied Information Technology at the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), SOA’s faculty of engineering and technology, before passing out in 2015, was actively involved in cultural events and artistic pursuits during his days in the college.
Currently, he serves as Talent Acquisition Lead-India at a leading multinational company.
Congratulating Kirti on his achievements, Prof. (Dr.) Nayak extended his best wishes for the singer’s future endeavours.
Reflecting on his journey, Kirti said he had spent nearly ten years in Odisha where he came in close contact with the state’s rich culture and even learnt the Odia language. “Odisha has taught me a lot and I have deep respect for this land and its people,” he said adding he would always remain emotionally connected to the state.
