Bhubaneswar: Eminent academicians, researchers and industry experts from across the world converged at the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) here to attend the 4th International Conference on Applied Mathematics in Science and Engineering (AMSE-2025) which was held from August 28 to 30.
The experts deliberated on recent advances and applications of mathematics in science, engineering and technology at the conference which was organised by the Department of Mathematics, Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of SOA, in collaboration with the National Institute of Technology, Arunachal Pradesh.
Spread over three days, the conference featured keynote and plenary lectures, invited talks and parallel sessions, covering diverse themes such as nonlinear dynamics, fractional calculus, fluid mechanics, plasma physics, wave propagation and computational modeling.
The inaugural session was graced by Prof. Swaroop Nandan Bora from IIT Guwahati and Prof. Manjula Das, SOA’s Controller of Examination, who attended as chief guest and guest of honour resepectively.
SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda, Dean of ITER Prof. Pradeep Kumar Sahoo and Organizing Chair Prof. Sunita Chand also addressed the gatherng.
The other speakers included Prof. R. P. Sharma of NIT Arunachal Pradesh and Prof. Sampad Kumar Parida, Co-Convenor of the event.Renowned speakers from India and abroad, including experts from the USA, Italy, Malaysia, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Bangladesh, shared details of their cutting-edge research work in the conference.
The event provided an excellent platform for young researchers to interact with global experts, exchange ideas and present their contributions in offline and online parallel sessions.
The valedictory session was chaired by Dr. Bibhakar Kodama Singh, Co-convenor, while Prof. (Dr.) Mohan V. Aware, Director, NIT Arunachal Pradesh attended as the Chief Guest. Prof. (Dr.) Renu Sharma, Professor and Additional Dean (Student Affairs), ITER, was the guest of honor. The session concluded with distribution of awards while Prof. (Dr.) Apul N. Dev, Convenor, AMSE-2025, proposed the vote of thanks.
