SOA to host Odisha AI Symposium 2025

Bhubaneswar : With the objective of strengthening Odisha’s AI-driven growth trajectory and reinforcing its leadership in India’s rapidly emerging AI landscape, SOA Deemed to be University, in collaboration with the Odisha Society of America (OSA) and AI and HPC Research Centre of IIT Bhubaneswar, will be organising the Odisha AI Symposium here on December 18.

The symposium is an official pre-event for the India AI Impact Summit 2026 and SOA will be the host institution in partnership with Indian AI Mission (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India).

SOA, a prominent institution of professional education in eastern India, has consistently figured among the country’s top 25 higher educational institutions in the NIRF rankings. In 2025, it was ranked 15th nationally by NIRF. The university was re-accredited by NAAC with the highest grade of A++ in 2022 and continues to be recognized globally by QS and THE rankings.

The Odisha Society of America (OSA), one of the oldest and most influential global organizations representing Odias worldwide, will be bringing its strong diaspora network, commitment to technological advancement and community empowerment to the symposium.

Its involvement adds global outreach, diverse expertise and a reinforced mission to position Odisha as a frontrunner in AI-led innovation.The AI and HPC Research Center (AHRC) is an interdisciplinary and collaborative research center at the IIT Bhubaneswar which was established in May 2023. It focuses on advancing applied research, innovation, and high-performance computing solutions to drive technology-enabled growth and societal transformation across Odisha and beyond.

The symposium will bring together eminent policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and key ecosystem enablers on a single platform.

SOA will ensure the presence of renowned national and international AI experts whose insights are expected to influence governance frameworks, accelerate innovation-driven economic progress and foster inclusive socio-economic development across Odisha.

Positioned as a pivotal initiative ahead of the state’s large-scale AI-led transformation, the Odisha AI Symposium is set to serve as a catalyst for building a future-ready AI-enabled ecosystem.
