Form submission for JEE Main extended to Jan 11


BHUBANESWAR: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the period for submission of online application form for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main to January 11.

The CBSE, which conducts the JEE Main, in a notification on November 26 this year, had mentioned December 31 as the last date for submission of online application form which began on December 1.Odisha to participate in JEE Main

CBSE had issued notification for Joint Entrance Examination (Main)-2016 for admission at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded Technical Institutions and Institutions funded by participating state governments.

As per its earlier notification, CBSE had asked the students to visit the official website of JEE www.jeemain.nic.in and submit their application forms online.

The offline test for JEE Main will be held on April 3 whereas the online test will be conducted on April 9 and 10, the notification stated.

While candidates qualifying the entrance examination will get a chance to get admission in leading technical institutions like NITs and IIITs and all leading government and private engineering colleges, students seeking admission to IIT will have to clear JEE Advance examination, which will be conducted by the CBSE later.
