Gita Mehta not interested in politics: Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Setting aside all speculations, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday made it clear that his elder sister Gita Mehta is not interested in politics.

“My sister is not interested in any political position; not in Rajya Sabha or anything else”, Patnaik told media persons here.

There was rumour in the political circle that Mehta, an acclaimed author, would replace Bishnu Das in Rajya Sabha.

The speculations had gained momentum after Das resigned as the member of the Upper House.
