Bhubaneswar: In order to counter the resurgent BJP in the state, BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday hinted at a massive change within the BJD ranks and files with the re-induction of many BJD leaders, who had left the party for various reasons.
Patnaik said talks are on to bring back many leaders who deserted the party in the past. However, the decision will be taken on a case-to-case basis, and not in haste, he added.
The statement of the BJD president has fuelled speculations in the political circle. It is believed that Bijoy Mohapatra, Dilip Ray, and Prafulla Ghadei could be re-inducted to the BJD fold soon.
Experts believe that the Ghar Wapsi of the leaders would intensify the infighting within BJD.
