Blind man lost legs; Odisha govt to provide artificial limbs


Bhubaneswar: The blind man, who lost both his legs in a train mishap, will be provided artificial limbs, said Prafulla Samal, Minister for Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, on Monday.

The Minister, who met Dilip Sahu, the blind man, in KIMS Hospital where he is undergoing treatment, discussed with the doctors about his health and assured his rehabilitation.

Samal was accompanied by department secretary Niten Chandra.

The Minister expressed satisfaction over the treatment being provided to Dilip in KIMS Hospital. Samal was happy to know that some people have come forward with financial help for Dilip’s treatment.
