Odisha to experience temperature above 40 degree after March 28

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday said heat wave condition will continue in Odisha.

It warned that the temperature will be increased above 40 degree Celsius from March 28 for a week.

The heat wave condition may continue for a period of one week because the probability of occurrence of thunder squall activity for next one week is very low, it added.

The met department said the temperature in interior districts is an increasing trend due to mainly Southwesterly/westerly wind flow through Southern/central India towards Odisha region.

However, increase in day temperature over coastal districts will be there. But, the people in the coastal area may experience respite due to occasional sea breeze from the Bay of Bengal.
