Woman raped on pretext of job in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A married woman was allegedly gang-raped by three persons on the pretext of job in Odisha’s Jajpur district, said police on Sunday.

The woman was later dumped at Chilipada near Korai in Jajpur district.

The matter came to fore on Saturday after some locals informed the police about the incident.

Police said the woman, who was estranged by her husband and is a resident of Kuakhia, is currently working at a private college in Bhubaneswar.

Police said that the woman arrived at Panikoili bus stand on Friday evening when three persons approached her and offered her a job at an automobile showroom.

The woman alleged that they took her to an isolated place and took turns to rape her.
