Odisha extends UG e-Admission deadline to June 1; Adds SEBC quota, NEP-aligned course options

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Higher Education Department has extended the deadline for online e-Admissions to all undergraduate (UG) programs under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) for the 2025–26 academic session. This includes Self-Financing Degree Colleges and Sanskrit (Shastri) Colleges across the state.
The original deadline was set to end today but has now been pushed to June 1, 2025, as confirmed by the Department in an official post on X.
Revised Admission Timeline:
• CAF Availability on www.samsodisha.gov.in: Till May 21, 2025
• Last Date for Online CAF Submission: June 1, 2025 (11:45 PM)
• CAF Editing (via OTP): From May 21, 2025 (2 PM)
• Uploading of +2/Equivalent Marks: Deadline extended to June 1, 2025 (11:45 PM)
Students who selected the “Appeared” option while submitting their CAF can now update their marks. For those under the CHSE board, marks will be auto-filled from the result database. Students from other boards must enter their marks manually.
Applicants can edit their CAF multiple times within the deadline to correct any errors or update preferences. It is important to save and print the latest version of the CAF for use during the admission process.

SEBC Reservation Implemented
The Odisha Government has approved an 11.25% reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) in UG admissions across Higher Education Institutions. SEBC applicants must obtain a valid certificate from a competent authority and be prepared to submit it during admission.

New Program Options: Integrated B.Ed. Courses
In line with NCTE guidelines, Four-Year Integrated B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. programs will be offered during the 2025–26 session in all eligible institutions except Maharaja Purna Chandra Autonomous College, Baripada. Students who’ve already submitted their CAF can opt for these programs during the editing window.

Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, students can now choose from flexible course structures while filling out the CAF:

• Three Minors
Seat allotment will be primarily based on:
