Odisha EOW nabs Noida-based realtor for land fraud

BHUBANESWAR: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the State Crime Branch has succeeded in arresting a Noida-based realtor allegedly involved in a land fraud case in Noida.

According to sources, the investigating agency nabbed Chairman and Managing Director of Brys Group Rahul Gaur on Monday, accused of cheating a businessman of Rs 18 crore by allegedly selling him 3.5 acres of disputed land near Pahala on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.

The investigating agency would take him to Bhubaneswar on transit remand after producing him in a local court in Noida.

On October 30, the Crime Branch registered a cheating case against Gaur based on a complaint by Saranpal Singh Sethy, a real estate developer in Delhi.
