Finance Minister Jayant Sinha arrives in Odisha


BHUBANESWAR: Minister of State (MoS) for Finance, Jayant Sinha on Friday arrived in the capital city for a two-day visit to Odisha.

The junior finance minister will meet Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Secretary and officials of the Revenue Department in the afternoon on Friday.Finance Minister Jayant Sinha arrives in Odisha

Sinha is slated to meet Income Tax, Customs and Excise officials during the day. Moreover, he is also scheduled to meet MPs and bank officials.

After holding a discussion with the state government officials, Sinha is scheduled at address a press conference at 6 p.m. where he would talk about ‘How Congress stalled development by not allowing Parliament to run.”

On Saturday morning, the finance minister would address ‘Foresight-2016’, the annual conclave of OTV, where he would talk about “Role of Eastern India in the national economic growth story.”
