Temple Dance Festival in Goa on Jan 23

BHUBANESWAR: To promote the Odissi dance across the globe, Temple Dance Festival will be held in Goa on January 23, where Odissi dancers from different countries will perform to enthral the audience of Goa.

The students of Saroj Dehury, an Odissi choreographer from Odisha, will perform at Shiva temple, Arambol in Goa on January 23, the full moon day.

The Odissi dancers from Russia, US, Spain, Canada, Germany and several other countries will perform in the Temple Dance Festival, said Saroj Dehury.

This is an initiative to promote the classical dance while the people from other countries would get acquainted with the culture, he added.

“I am excited to perform in the dance festival,” said Mar Gonzalez from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, in her Facebook post.
