Raja’s death: Tele actor Jessy deposes before police

BALASORE: Television actress Pralipta Priyadarisini Samal alias Jessy, who had remained elusive, on Friday deposed before Soro police to record her statement over the mysterious death of Odia actor Ranjit Patnaik alias Raja.

Jessy along with her mother appeared before the police in the evening, and the television actress is being quizzed over her relationship with Raja and the circumstances that led to the death of the tele actor.

Notably, the police had served a fresh notice on Friday morning to the television actress Jessy to depose before the police and cooperate in cracking the mysterious death of Odia actor Raja.

Earlier, the Balasore police had said that they are considering conducting polygraph test of event manager Pralay Jena and driver Dhaneswar over the mysterious death of television actor and choreographer Ranjit Patnaik.

Balasore SP Niti Sekhar said the police are considering undertaking polygraph test of the duo detained by Soro police over to unearth the mysterious death of the television actor.

Actress Jessy, Pralay and driver had accompanied Ranjit to the event at Taranga in Jamujhadi area under Simulia block on that fateful night. They were invited as guests to a theatre “Kalinga Kanya” on Saturday night.
