Police sources said four of the male SIMI operatives, who were arrested from Rourkela on February 17, were quizzed by RAW about their links with some terror outfits in Pakistan.
BHUBANESWAR: The Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), country’s elite foreign intelligence agency, on Thursday, interrogated the five suspected SIMI operatives about their alleged links with terror outfits and ISI, the intelligence agency of Pakistan.
Police sources said four of the male SIMI members, who were arrested from Rourkela on February 17, were quizzed by RAW about their links with some terror outfits in Pakistan.
Notably, the investigating agencies have already found their links with Taliban, a terror outfit operating in several countries.
Sheikh Mehboob, his mother Nazma Bibi, Amjad Khan, Zakir Hussein and Mohammad Salique were arrested following a brief exchange of fire in Rourkela on February 17. They were involved in Khandwa jailbreak, a series of bank loots, terror activities and murders of cops in different states.
Several investigating agencies including NIA, IB and police of Tamil Nadu and Chhatisgarh, police teams from Madhya Pradesh and Telangana have been camping in Bhubaneswar to quiz the operatives.
