BHUBANESWAR: Odisha continued to reel under the intense heat wave with 19 cities recording above 40 degree Celsius on Sunday while the unofficial death toll reached to 38.
Titlagarh recorded the highest temperature of 46.2 degree Celsius even as nine cities boiled over 44 degree Celsius.
While Sonepur recorded 45.8 degree Celsius, both Jharsuguda and Talcher registered 45.5 degrees.
Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded temperature of 41. 2 degrees C and 40 degrees C respectively.
Special Relief Commission office sources said the department had received 38 death cases due to sun stroke.
