NIT Director SK Sarangi Resigns

BHUBANESWAR: Director of National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela SK Sarangi has resigned following the directive of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), said an official on Saturday.

Notably, the ministry had asked NIT director Sunil Kumar Sarangi and Board of Governors (BoG) honorary chairperson Vasanta Ramaswamy to resign for the alleged administrative tussle between the two.

Both the director and chairperson were asked last week to appear before the ministry for clarification over the controversy.
