BHUBANESWAR: Mindtree co-founder Subroto Bagchi, who has been appointed as chairman of Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA), assumed office on Sunday here.
After assuming the office, Bagchi said that he would visit 30 districts of the state in next 15 days to assess the ground reality and prepare plan to skill the youths of the state so that they can be employable at national and global level.
Notably, chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday declared that Bagchi would head the skill development authority to prepare a detailed report for enhancing the skills of youths in the state.
He will visit all the 30 districts of the state to get a first-hand understanding of the initiatives on the ground and submit his recommendations based on which, a detailed program will be worked out.
Prior to assuming the office, Bagchi met chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday evening while he took the blessing of lord Jagannath at Puri in morning.
