Logjam Continues In Odisha Assembly


BHUBANESWAR: Logjam over the chit fund scam continued in the Odisha assembly with opposition Congress and BJP demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday.

Soon after the house began to assemble, the BJP  and Congress members rushed to the well demanding a reply from the chief minister over the transaction of money to BJD account allegedly by chit fund accused.

As the stalemate continues, Speaker Niranjan Pujari adjourned the house till 12.30 pm and later 3 pm.

He also called an all-party meeting to resolve the deadlock.

Notably, three marathon meetings were held on Friday. But, it failed to resolve the deadlock.
