Man Arrested For Raping Minor Daughter In Odisha Capital

BHUBANESWAR: A 40-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping his daughter in the capital city of Odisha, police said on Sunday.

Mahila police have arrested the man for allegedly raping his 11-year-old daughter at his house at Behera Sahi in Chandrasekharpur area.

The wife of the accused has lodged a complaint with police in this regard. The accused is a Mason, while his wife works as a maid.

According to the allegations, the man raped the 11-year-old girl during the daytime when her mother was out at work.

The girl was sent for a medical examination. Police said some undergarments were seized from the crime scene.

The accused was charged with rape and was also booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
