NCPCR Seeks Report On Nagada Death


BHUBANESWAR: After a statewide outcry over the death of 19 children due to malnutrition in Nagada village of Jajpur district, the  National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has sought a report from the state government over the incident.Nagada death

NCPCR Chairperson Stuti Narain Kacker informed that a delegation of the commission would visit Nagada after getting a report from the state government in this regard.

The commission will visit the village and take stock of the situation and the measures being adopted by the government to tackle the situation.

The Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) has already slapped a notice to the state government asking the Chief Secretary to submit a report over the malnutrition death of children.
