Odisha Govt To Conduct Active Citizenship Programme In Colleges

Bhubaneswar: The sports and youth affairs department of Odisha government has asked about 660 colleges to conduct the Active Citizenship Programme to instill high moral values and practical knowledge among the youth.

The department has developed the second volume of Active Citizenship DVD that will be showed in the colleges.

The state government had launched the programme in 2014 with the intention of promoting life skills, leadership and active citizenship among the youth.

Sources said the film would be screened at colleges across the state to create awareness among students on various issues such as sanitation, eve-teasing, road safety, drug abuse, ragging and so on.
