Odisha Bandh: Police, Congress Workers Enter Into Clash In Angul

Angul: Tension prevailed during the observation of bandh in Angul when police detained around 200 Congress workers on Tuesday.

The protesters ransacked Banarpal Tahasil and block offices. There was a class between IIC and protesters at Nalco police station.

Several Congress workers blocked the National Highway-55 at Hulurusingha under the leadership of district Congress president Pratap Pradhan.

Congress workers also protested at Angul police station alleging police excess on the party workers.

State Women Congress president Sashmita Behera and 25 Congress leaders were detained at Talcher during the bandh.

Normal life came to a standstill as schools, colleges, and business establishments remained closed in most places due to the bandh.
