Union Minister Manoj Sinha To Visit Puri On Aug 20


Bhubaneswar: Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha will visit Puri on August 20 to lay the foundation stone of the improvement of the circulating area of Puri Railway Station.

Sinha is expected to review the performance of the Railway and the progress of various infrastructure related projects which are crucial to the industrial development of Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh, said a release.

He has always laid highest emphasis on passenger amenities at stations and onboard services on trains.  He gives importance to local aspirations and needs of various regions with the focus on connecting unconnected regions.

Sinha had earlier held a review meeting in East Coast Railway in December 2015 and based on the feedback he received from East Coast Region, a number of positive policy measures were immediately initiated by Ministry of Railways.

During his visit to Odisha in April this year, the Railway Minister had advised for speedy completion of pending Railway Projects like Khurda-Balangir line.

He had taken special interest and assured that funds would not be an issue for any Railway Project in Odisha.

He will also attend BJP’s ’70 Saal Azadi – Zara Yaad Karo Kurbani’ programme in Puri on the same day.

Union Telecommunications Minister Manoj Sinha will visit the native place of Chandan Hajuri, popularly known as Chakhi Khuntia, at Puri.
