Odisha Govt Collects Rs 1442.76 Cr Excise Revenue

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has collected excise revenue of Rs 1442.76 crore by end of August against the target of Rs 3300 crore in 2016-17.

Rs 1442.76 crore was generated towards the collection of excise revenue from different sources by August this financial year, said an official of Excise department.

The government had collected Rs 1219.56 crore by August in 2015-16, said the official.

The excise revenue collection has increased 10.88% minus sales tax and entry tax.
