Raahgir Awaits Sunny Days

Bhubaneswar: The Raahgiri will make a comeback when the weather conditions improve in the capital city.

According to top officials of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), the weekly event received a good response from the denizens who are eagerly waiting for the Raahgiri.

Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena informed that Raahgiri will continue in the coming days.

“Like other participants, I also miss the event very much. We have no plans to stop the event and we will resume it when the weather gets better,” said Jena.

He said BMC has no plans to stop an event which got huge public acceptance.

“Raahgiri received a very good response from the public. But the met department has predicted good showers. So, we cannot resume the event immediately” said BMC public relation officer Gopal Panigrahi.
