Bhubaneswar: The annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha will commence from February 28 next year, said an official on Wednesday.
The HSC exam will continue till March 10 next year, informed BSE president Sushant Kumar Das.
He said the decision to conduct the Odisha HSC exam on February 28 was taken at a meeting of the board’s exam committee on Wednesday.
More than 6 lakh students would appear in the exams, he said.
Online form fill up for the exams would start from the first week of November.
Notably, the students were on uncertainty over the HSC exam date following the Panchayat elections, which is scheduled to be held in February next year.
Keeping in view the upcoming panchayat elections, the exam schedule was finalized after approval from Odisha government and discussions with the State Election Commission, said the board president.
Meanwhile, School and Mass Education Minister Debi Prasad Mishra said that the annual Plus Two examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) are likely to be held in the first week of March next year.
