Malkangiri: The vigilance sleuths while conducting simultaneous raids traced over Rs two crore movable and immovable properties of a junior engineer in Malkangiri district.

On the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Himanshu Sekhar Panda, a junior engineer (ITDA) in Malkangiri district, the vigilance sleuths on Sunday conducted a search operation.

It conducted simultaneous raids at his triple storeyed building at Badagada Brit Colony, Bhubaneswar, triple storeyed building in CDA area of Cuttack, the paternal house at village Lekhanpur in Cuttack and rented the residential house and office room at Malkangiri.

Himansu Sekhar Panda joined as a junior engineer in irrigation department in 1994 and posted to Karanjia Irrigation Division. Then, he was posted to ITDA, Champua in the year 2004 on deputation from Irrigation Department. He was posted as a junior engineer in Keonjhar, Gunupur, and Baliguda and presently posted to ITDA, Malkangiri since October 2015.
