Prasad Meets Rahul Amid Ouster Demand

Bhubaneswar: Barely few days after the meeting of Congress MLAs led by Leader of Opposition Narasingh Mishra with AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi, Odisha Congress President Prasad Harichandan on Friday met Rahul Gandhi.

The meeting of Harichandan with Gandhi came amid the demand of party MLAs to ouster the PCC president.

“We discussed regarding Panchayat polls and organizational affairs. We also discussed issues of Odisha. I cannot reveal any other updates of the meeting to media,” said Prasad.

With the party lawmakers demanding the ouster of him from PCC top post, Harichandan said the Congress leaders are united and there was no dissidence in the party.

During the meeting between Rahul and the 16 MLAs, Rahul is believed to have supported Prasad and asked party members to stand united ahead of Panchayat polls.
