Young Lady Kidnapped, Robbed In Bhubaneswar-bound Train


Balasore: A woman passenger has allegedly been robbed after she was drugged and kidnapped from a train.

The husband of the woman Manjulata Sahu (25) filed a complaint in this regard with the government railway police (GRP), Rourkela.

According to her husband Deepak Sahu, her wife went on Friday afternoon from the Bhubaneswar-bound train Duronoto express from Delhi.

He was coming to Bhubaneswar along with his wife and 4-year-old son on the train having a reservation in S-4 coach.

His wife went to the washroom when the train was approaching Balasore station about 12.40 pm on Friday.

However, when she didn’t return to her berth, Deepak searched her wife in the train in different coaches. But, she couldn’t get her.

However, she was found near the Balasore railway station about 5.30 am on Saturday, said police.

The victim informed that when she was coming from the washroom, there was a jam near the gate. However, she didn’t know what happened to her after this.

She further said she found her in an abandoned house on Saturday morning and she was coming toward station with a lot of difficulties.

The husband, Deepak, alleged that she drugged by the miscreants and they robbed about 30 gms of gold ornaments including chain, bangles etc.
