Kendrapada: Baijayant Panda, BJD MP from Kendrapada, on Tuesday said he faced protest from a handful of people during a meeting attended by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in Mahakalpada.
“Attended Mahakalpada public event with CM. As expected, a handful of planted ppl raised slogans against me vs. thousands in favour of me,” tweeted Panda.

Before the meeting, he had alleged that local MLA Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak threatened him not to participate in the Mahakalpada meeting.

“Associates of a colleague who recently resigned on moral grounds threatening me against participation today in the Mahakalpada event with CM,” he tweeted.
Mahakalpada’s BJD MLA, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, recently resigned from the post of Health Minister following the SUM Hospital fire mishap.

In another tweet, he said, “I am not afraid of goondas. It is the job of police to control them. I will go today and continue my 10+ days/month in constituency.”
He tweeted, “Getting messages from police, who would rather want that I didnโt attend Mahakalpara event with CM, but I am going. Let them arrest goons or cancel event if no law and order.”
Reacting to the allegations, Atanu said he has no knowledge about Kendrapada MP facing protest during the event.
