Bhubaneswar: The second edition of Raahgiri is all set to begin on the Janpath road in Bhubaneswar on November 27.
People will enjoy skating, yoga, drawing, painting and classical music on the Janpath road as the decks are cleared for the second edition of Raahgiri, said Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Panda.
The Raahgiri was temporarily suspended due to monsoon season.
“The second edition of the popular event will begin this November 27. This time we will include new themes every week that were not covered in the first edition of Raahgiri,” Panda said.
The Raahgiri day, which is observed on every Sunday, started from January 17 this year. It was suspended as rainfall during the monsoon acted as a major barrier in mass gathering.
Raahgiri is being celebrated to free a stretch of the city from motorized transport for four hours in the morning.
After Bhubaneswar, Puri started observing Raahgiri day this year. It is expected that the pilgrim city would also start the event soon.
Thousands of people participate in the event. Each Sunday is celebrated with a specific theme as people enjoy dance, cycling, skating, painting and a lot more.
