Bhubaneswar: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Saturday interrogated BJD’s Balasore MP Rabindra Jena for his alleged links with Seashore Group, which has allegedly duped thousands of depositors in Odisha.
This was the second time Jena appeared before CBI. The central investigating agency had questioned him in January last year.
The CBI had summoned Jena on November 14 to appear before it at its Bhubaneswar office. But he sent his lawyer with some documents on November 26. Now, the BJD MP has appeared before the investigating agency.
Jena has allegedly got financial benefits from the Seashore Group. However, the BJP MP has already denied the charges and claimed that he had given a loan of Rs 18 crore to the Seashore Group in 2012, which is yet to be repaid by the group.
