BMC Mayor Sex Scandal: BJP declares Chaka Jam in urban local bodies

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of BJP on Sunday said it would resort to ‘Chaka Jam’ in all urban local bodies demanding action against Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Anant Narayan Jena for his alleged involvement in a sex scandal and Rishi murder case.

The party would resort to Chaka Jam from 10 am to 12 pm on Monday across all the urban local bodies in the state.

Addressing to media persons, BJP general secretary Prithviraj Harichandan said the youth wing of the party would hold picketing at Rajmahal square here on Sunday.

He also demanded the resignation of Jena from Mayor post.

BJD spokesperson Sameer Das said their party would take action against Jena if he found guilty.

“The investigation is on. We have to wait for the completion of the investigation process. The Chief Minister would take appropriate action if Jena proves to be guilty,” said Das.

The Student Congress leader Itish Pradhan on Thursday released the MMS clip and alleged that the Bhubaneswar Mayor was getting intimate with a lady in the tape.

The three and half minute video uploaded on the social networking site shows three persons in an intimate moment.
