It also conducted raids at the houses of BJD MLA Prabhat Biswal.
CBI sources said raids were conducted at six places in Balasore including Jena’s two houses, several places in Bhubaneswar and houses of some Seashore Group staff.
It also conducted raids at the house of Saroj Sahu, who was working in Naveen Niwas, the residence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Saroj Sahu was earlier interrogated by the CBI in connection with the chit fund scam.
The CBI had also summoned Balasore MP Rabindra Jena to appear before it. Jena is likely to appear before the investigating agency on Thursday.
Earlier, Jena had also appeared before the central probe agency for his alleged nexus with the tainted ponzi firm. This will be the third time, Jena will be quizzed by the probing agency.
On December 10, 2016, CBI had grilled Jena for around seven hours in connection with the multi-crore Seashore chit fund scam.
