Congress holds protest against demonetization

Bhubaneswar (Odisha): Hundreds of Congress party protesters on Wednesday gheraoed the RBI regional office here protesting the demonetization and the Centre’s role in “destruction of the RBI’s autonomy”.

The agitators vented their anger against the BJP-led government for ruining the economy of the country.

Former union minister Shivraj Patil said the Modi government is trying to give the money, deposited by people following the demonetization, to companies, which are yet to repay thousands of crore to the banks.

Reacting to the allegations, Odisha BJP president Basant Panda said the Congress party is enacting drama over the issue.
